I thought about it\u00a0and decided that I\u2019d rather share some of my recent accomplishments rather than the drudgery of what I have yet to do. I\u2019ve drafted a couple of chapters, started on some of the gritty content, and recruited help from fellow writers around the country.<\/p>\n<p>Early on, I knew that I could not do justice to all the types of writing people are paid to do; I knew I would need help from other experts. So, I took advantage of the fact that I am a member of an international networking group (<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/bni.com\" target=\"_blank\">BNI<\/a><\/span>) and reached out to other writers who are also members.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #055a3c;\"><strong>Side Note:<\/strong><\/span> The rule of halves is alive and well. I found roughly 90 writers but only about 45 had their email addresses listed. Of those 45, I heard back from a little over 20 \u2013 14 positively.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been decent with following up with those who have responded, and even taken extra steps to connect with a couple that I want to respond \u2013 including picking up the phone and calling! (That\u2019s a big deal for me.)<\/p>\n<p>Overall, things on the book front are going well.<\/p>\n<h1>A New Workshop<\/h1>\n<p>Helping people understand a concept is something that I\u2019ve been doing for as long as I can remember. When I first went to work in software, training was a significant portion of my job. So, what\u2019s the big deal about teaching something? Don\u2019t know, but this is way out of my comfort zone. Maybe because before now, I felt more like a source of information people already knew they wanted. In this case, I have to convince people that this is information they will want.<\/p>\n<p>I have the topic (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/super-easy-newsletters-tickets-27476413693\" target=\"_blank\">Super Easy Newsletters<\/a><\/span>), the venue is booked, I\u2019ve started marketing, and I\u2019ve even got a couple of registrations. <span style=\"color: #055a3c;\"><strong>I can do this.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h1>A Blog!<\/h1>\n<p>Yes, I have not given my own blogging much attention of late.
